Big Canoe Georgia – A Slice of Heaven

Immediately after we crossed that short wooden covered bridge, I felt that we had made a transition from one world into another. Almost less than an hour ago, we left Atlanta in our sedan and here we are now, in Big Canoe Georgia. It was truly breathtaking and I hadn’t ventured even 500 yards in yet. I am sure it is going to have the same effect on you when you finally get a chance to tour it. I will try to describe it to you as vividly as I can, but you will need to see it for yourself to believe that we really can live civilized modern lives and still be one with nature.

First of all, according to the sign at the entrance, yes there is an entrance! the area is 8,000 acres. Imagine 8,000 acres of fenced forest and a private one at that! Immediately after passing through that gate, you will feel as though you are in the Garden of Eden because of its serenity and calm. I had not yet even gotten out of the car and yet I was already feeling as though I had transcended into a new place. They had somehow found the secret of keeping the place as new as day one and yet making it livable. I was really excited to see this house that was up for sale in such an appealing place.

If I remember right, the total number of homes in the whole of Big Canoe Georgia is 2,400. Can you imagine that small number of homes in such a large area? It was almost like the opposite of being in the city where you cannot take a step without anyone getting in your face. Here, after every few hundred meters we would see a nice lady jogging with her dog or an aged couple sitting on a bench gazing at the lake.

Yes, believe it or not it has lakes. As a matter of fact, the place has several bodies of water. There are an unknown number of streams, waterfalls and lakes. The way these have been interlaced with the homes is just a work of art. You should have seen how tight I had crossed my fingers hoping the house I would soon be buying would be near a beach. I was right; and do you know how much I was going to own this beautiful place for?

From the price of 250,000 dollars you can afford your very own retreat in this slice of heaven called Big Canoe Georgia. The thing about buying a property in this lovely place is that you are buying more than just the house in which you will be living in; it is like you are also buying the lakes and seven mountains of Big Canoe Georgia. You will also be buying a golf course and a fully sophisticated amenities center. Who said that air is free? You will have bought clean air purified by the 8,000 acres of heavily wooded mountain soil.

If all that is not enough for you, then what you want must really be out of this world. It is just the perfect mix of old and new. To make matters better, you are only 1 hour away by car from Atlanta, in case there is something that you really feel like you are missing. All those who have come to live in Big Canoe Georgia know that it really is worth all the hard work put into it. You will feel as though all the stress of the world had been left behind immediately as you entered.
